What is Everyday Trauma?
Life can be pretty crazy, but what makes it even more challenging is that we’re living from our traumas. Not necessarily the big, ugly ones that cause PTSD, but the smaller, everyday traumas that leave their mark.
DTSD or Daily Traumatic Stress Disturbance is the residual interference left from these everyday traumas that we experience as we try to live a normal life. It shows up like anxiety, depression, panic, fatigue, and even chronic illness. It inhibits our freedom to think clearly, live happily, and work through the regular stuff life throws at us.
So, no. You’re not crazy. You’re not weak. You don’t have a character defect. You’re dealing with trauma that you didn’t realize happened. It was so subtle and was dismissed as “life” that you didn’t pause and heal that internal injury. It’s time to take a moment and resolve the trauma you’ve been carrying around with you. Life can be more peaceful. You can feel more confident and less reactive. You have it in you to live from your wisdom instead of your wounds. Let’s take the edge off!
